For just 10 CAD/hour in a group of up to 6 students Designed for complete beginners with little or no prior knowledge of French, this comprehensive, structured program is tailored for adults who are starting their journey in learning the French language. The curriculum introduces the essential foundations of French, focusing on basic communication skills, pronunciation, vocabulary development, and fundamental grammar concepts to help learners build confidence from the beginning. The course includes: • Pronunciation and Phonetics: Guidance on correct French pronunciation, common phonetic patterns, liaisons, silent letters, accents, and intonation to improve listening comprehension and speaking accuracy. • Comprehensive Grammar Foundations: A step-by-step introduction to the essential grammatical structures needed for everyday communication, including: Subject pronouns and sentence structure Definite, indefinite, and partitive articles Gender (masculine/feminine) and singular/plural noun agreement Adjective placement and adjective agreement Regular and common irregular verbs in the present tense (être, avoir, aller, faire, etc.) Verb conjugation patterns for -er, -ir, and common -re verbs Negation (ne...pas) and basic question formation Personal, subject, and introductory object pronouns Possessive and demonstrative adjectives Prepositions of place, time, and movement Common adverbs and frequency expressions Numbers, dates, time, and telling time Basic sentence connectors (et, mais, parce que, puis, donc) to build longer, more natural sentences Introduction to the near future (futur proche) and common everyday expressions • Practical Vocabulary: High-frequency words and expressions used in daily life, including greetings, introductions, family, food, shopping, transportation, work, hobbies, numbers, dates, weather, and common questions. • Interactive Speaking Practice: Real-life scenarios designed to build confidence, improve fluency, and develop practical communication skills in social and professional situations. • Listening and Reading Activities: Short dialogues, simple texts, and listening exercises that reinforce vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension while gradually increasing exposure to authentic French.
